The robust permanent TLSXG magnetic drums are suitable for processing large volumes. They are used for processing bulk product flows containing lots of large or sharp pieces, such as scrap, glass or rubble. In these cases an overbelt or hanging magnet is unsuitable due to the high rate of belt wear.
The diameter of the magnetic drums is important if the product flow contains large (>100 mm) pieces of ferrous metals. To achieve optimal separation lots of contact surface and space is required between the carriers.
The permanent magnetic drums are suitable for use by metal processors, such as scrap-vehicle and first-world waste shredders, for removing the iron directly from the shredded product in a one- or two-step process.
